Visioning Workshop This Week

The Town of Fort Myers Beach is beginning the process of evaluating the comprehensive plan as part of the Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) process. In an effort to reach as broad of an audience as possible, we would like to request your assistance in sharing this information with your friends, family, business associates and members of the public that reside or own property and/or businesses with the Town of Fort Myers Beach.

As part of the EAR process, the Town is seeking community input from residents, business owners, property owners, visitors and other stakeholders. A public input survey is available on the Town’s website at: http://www.fortmyersbeachfl.gov/index.aspx?NID=467

In addition, a Visioning Workshop is schedule for June 2, 2011 at 5:30pm. The Town encourages all stakeholders to complete a survey and attend the visioning session June 2, 2011 in an effort to identify, prioritize, and develop ideas to address community issues. Attendance is crucial to a successful visioning workshop.

Attendees will review preliminary results of the public input surveys, identify community issues, develop alternatives and establish priorities in an effort to evaluate and improve the Town’s Comprehensive Plan.

Refreshments will be served at 5:30pm followed by a presentation at 6pm and Group Sessions at 7pm.
